When I started wearing dentures, I took them out every night to clean and soak them like I was supposed to. After a while, I began falling asleep with them in every once in a while. I have always watched television before bed while I munched on some potato chips, and I often fell asleep on the couch without cleaning or removing my dentures. What started as occasionally forgetting to take them eventually turned into me wearing them every night. One day I noticed white patches inside my mouth, which was very alarming. My dentist told me I had gotten an infection from wearing my dentures too much. It went away with medicine, but it was a very uncomfortable experience. I created this blog to remind other people who wear dentures to remove them at night, or they may end up with an infection like I did.
